Unhappy arab woman in hijab close up, pessimistic mood, sorrow, melancholy

Around the world, women and girls suffer sex-based discrimination, often under authoritarian regimes.

These women have been silenced at the hands of violent oppressors –– from leaders in North Korea to Afghanistan and beyond. Many of their stories have gone untold, and the international agencies meant to safeguard them are failing.

Not anymore.

We’re elevating the stories of dissidents and witnesses who can speak to the dangers of tyranny abroad and warn of creeping authoritarianism happening at home.

This is more than just a collection of global narratives; it is a catalyst for change, bringing these women and their stories out of obscurity and into the light.
