What Chloe Cole’s Lawsuit Against Her Former Doctors Means for America

Independent Women ambassador and detransitioner Luke Healy celebrates the news that Chloe Cole’s lawsuit against her former medical providers is moving to trial.

The tide is turning in the fight against gender ideology. Detransitioner Fox Varian just won $2 million in damages against the medical providers who advised her to undergo gender mutilation procedures. Another detransitioner, Soren Aldaco, is taking her lawsuit against her former medical providers to the Texas Supreme Court. And now, detransitioner Chloe Cole’s lawsuit against her former medical providers at Kaiser Permanente is moving to trial.

Despite Kaiser’s best efforts to move the case into arbitration and to get the case dismissed, Chloe will have her day in court on April 5, 2027.

Cole’s story has been heard across America: at only 13 years old, she was prescribed puberty blockers and hormones, and just two years later, a surgeon approved her for a double mastectomy. These procedures have left her with a lifetime of regret and recovery that she is seeking justice for.

I know the cost that sex-rejecting procedures and transgender ideology exact on a life. I also received hormones through Kaiser Permanente and was fast-tracked for potential further intervention. The hormones feminized my body, even as I was still clearly a male, softening my skin and redistributing my body fat. The emotional turmoil caused by gender ideology and my “feminized” body was agony, and it tore through my relationships.

Cole was one of the first detransitioners I met. I heard her speak about her detransition experience, and since then, we’ve become friends and allies in the fight against the gender medical complex.

Kaiser’s large legal team has struggled to dismiss Cole’s case, perhaps hinting that a trial would be a blow to the healthcare giant and its financial bottom line. They see the writing on the wall: the gender industry is a massive legal liability, and Cole is ready to strike yet another colossal blow against the medical malpractitioners.

Until medical organizations are held to account, the fight to protect children from gender mutilation will continue. This is why Cole’s lawsuit matters. Standing against a behemoth industry that profits off the the mental suffering, gender confusion, and mutilation of children is a battle that we must win—not only for detransitioners like Chloe Cole and me but also for vulnerable children across America.

I’ve seen Cole stand up against malicious medical providers and institutions to speak for vulnerable children being targeted with dangerous, mutilating procedures. In 2025 alone, she caught more than 100 flights, talked with dozens of state legislatures, traveled to Washington D.C., and spoke to the United Nations. We’ve testified before state legislatures and spoken across the country to raise the alarm so that no more children suffer gender mutilation.

Our fight is why Americans are waking up to the gender medicine scam. Twenty-five states have outright banned childhood gender transition, two other states have banned gender mutilation surgeries on minors, and the proposed Chloe Cole Act introduced in U.S. Congress would permanently end the gender mutilation of children.

If Cole wins her lawsuit, it will be the highest profile victory against gender ideology in America. Her case will send a message to medical providers across the nation: gender “transition” is mutilation, and it must end.
