“30 years ago I had my first child and decided I wanted to stay at home to raise my children. My previous career as a travel agent gave me the opportunity to work from home as an independent contractor. This ultimately morphed into a career in the promotional advertising industry where I sold logo merchandise and gifts to (primarily) the travel industry. This was not a 9-5 job and gave me the flexibility to be there for my children but also have a lucrative career. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have this flexibility for my family.”
