“I currently freelance as a legal assistant in my spare time. I’m also pursuing court reporting and hoped to be a freelancer. I do not want to be an “employee,” I want to be an independent contractor. I get to make my own decisions about jobs I choose to take and not to take. I get to make my own schedule, work from home, etc. If we choose to provide our services we should be allowed to without having to be deemed employees.”
