I have found the district I am in lacks any community involvement, support, or resources. LAST year and this year constant changes. No consistent schedule, and pushing more & more back on the parents while the school system continues to make excuses; the system I am in has certain rules for certain families based on income and who you know. I find myself unable to keep up with all the changes, and last year found myself definitely wanting to have private school with faith-based & community engagement. These teachers’ unions in Michigan have different rules for each school, and it’s no wonder in Ingham County, MI why more people are selling their homes & moving.
