“I work as a public relations assistant for a local orthopaedic surgeon under an independent contracting arrangement, which is a great arrangement for me. My hours are mostly mine to choose, unless we have to agree on a time that works for us to meet, which is dependent on both our schedules. I have also worked in the independent contractor capacity on a platform created for independent contractors, and as a blogger for a nearby Direct Primary Care practice. None of us want our lives controlled by one employer. We are HAPPY with our flexibility.”
