“My business allows flooring manufacturers to sell directly to retail stores through us, cutting out the distributor and reducing costs for stores and their customers who purchase the flooring. We created this business after the housing crash of 2007 and developed a way to bring in income for ourselves as well as help make small flooring stores viable again. If we were no longer allowed to be independent contractors, there would be no value in our service to manufacturers and my company would collapse.”
