I am [a] retired teacher, with experience in public, parochial, and private schools. My opinion: School choice is the way to bring about the successful education of students. My opinion: Parents need to be involved in the planning for their children. My opinion: Parents also need to sit on Boards of Education in each city. The NEA needs to bud out, now. It was a mistake from the beginning. Each state should be responsible for the education of its students. Abolish the National Educational Department. We’ve never needed it. Our children are not clones.
