As a female athlete growing up playing softball and tennis, I cannot imagine being beaten out of try-outs by a male! And yes, Lia Thomas is a male. He’s been through puberty and has all the strength and endurance benefits of being a male. I would have been totally devastated and I thank God every day that I grew up in the 70’s and that I don’t have to deal with this.
