I worked on a college campus and saw how hard female athletes had to work to be financially supported, compete and be recognized the same as the male teams were. This is yet another blow to female athletes who have struggled to find their place and fought for the needed funding to maintain their athletic competitions. We can’t say that this does not matter, when most women know it creates an unfair advantage and opportunity in many cases. If you can imagine your granddaughter or daughter competing all her life to achieve and being toppled by an athlete they cannot fairly compete against. Supplements taken can cause an unfair imbalance along with the anatomy aspect that can’t be denied. Too bad Title 9 brought us some level of parity with men but female athletes still had to fight for parity even with Title 9 in place. We need a solution that takes this into account and just think if it were your daughter or granddaughter who was going through this.
